The role of information technology in achieving sustainable development: Examples of insurance companies

This study aims to identify the role of information technology in achieving sustainable development in (insurance companies in Iraq), where sustainable development is a means and a new vision in how to use information technology, which acquires its true significance for the progress that exists according to an ethical and humanitarian issue towards present and future generations. It requires a new era of economic growth that involves more than financing and expanding the options of technology users to keep pace with modern developments to advance sustainable development striving to change the content of growth and at the same time sustainable. The means of communication and information technology have played a prominent role in these developments. The emergence of the Internet and the massive expansion in the use of networks in all fields and the shift from the methods adopted by writing information manually to electronically. Change has become a civilized feature of the developed world. It is necessary to keep pace with these changes, seize opportunities and face the increasing challenges and pressures that must be understood and realized. And addressing them to improve performance and raise the efficiency of working staff to be able to deal with contemporary technologies and respond strongly to those challenges and improve the quality and creativity of technology and make it distinct and adopt modern methods of providing services with the highest degree of efficiency, quality and knowledge, as it is one of the requirements for building sustainable development. It is known, understood and applied in very different ways, causing a high degree of ambiguity about the meaning of the concept. Purely administrative and technical to demonstrate the needs of advanced and developing human societies for conscious technical management, and new planning for the exploitation of resources. But there are those who deal with sustainable development, as an ethical and humane vision.
